Chatprapa Siriprakob in driving seat at PTT Thailand LPGA Masters
Date: 14th September 2017

Thai player Chatprapa Siriprakob will take a two shot lead into tomorrow's final round of the PTT Thailand LPGA Masters at the Panya Ram Indra Golf Club in Bangkok, after shooting a superb second round 68 to be alone in the lead at 6 under par.
The 25-year-old from Korat in Thailand battled the oppressive heat and humidity today which had left many of her fellow players struggling in temperatures hovering around the 40-degree celsius mark.

Siriprakob, playing in her 4th year as a professional, will be entering into uncharted territory tomorrow as she bids for her first professional title, her previous best result being a 3rd place finish in March this year at the ICTSI Champion Tour at Mount Malarayat on the Taiwan LPGA Tour.

Lurking just two shots back at 4 under par is 18-year-old Thai star Saranporn Langkulgasettrin, who added a disappointing 2 over par round of 74 today to her superb opening round 66.
Chen Yu Ju from Chinese Taipei shot a one under par 71 today to also be at 4 under par, along with Thai player Ploychompoo Wilairungreung, who shot a 4 under par 68 to add to her opening round 72.
There are three other players at 3 under par including local favourite P.K. Kongkraphan.

New Zealand's Cathryn Bristow remains the best of the ALPG contingent at even par after shooting a second round 73, but is by no means out of it sitting just 6 shots off the lead in a tie for 12th place.

New South Welsh woman Sarah Kemp, still recovering after the long journey to Bangkok from Indianapolis where she competed on the LPGA Tour last week, added a 1 over par 73 today to her opening 75 to be 4 over par in a tie for 35th place.
Victorian Grace Lennon was the only other ALPG member to make it through to the final round, she is at 5 over par tied for 43rd place

The 36 hole cut was made at +5 with 51  players qualifying for Friday’s final round.
