Campbell Excited about Indian Open
Date: 3rd December 2014

Nikki Campbell is thoroughly enjoying playing golf on the LET and maybe this week she can add to her three professional golf titles at the Hero Women’s Indian Open.

Campbell heads into this week as the leading Australian having amassed nine top 10 finishes this year.   During a pre-tournament interview, the recently married Canberra golfer talked about winning this week, “I’d love the Indian Open to be my next win but it will take some good golf around here because it’s a very difficult golf course.”

Delhi Golf course will be a test for the golfers this week as explained by Campbell “I think Delhi Golf Club is very difficult. It’s very narrow off the tee and the greens are very firm so if the pins are at the front it’s hard to get close to the pin. I also find the wind difficult because it’s so narrow, it blocks out the wind but when it gets above the trees it catches the ball so it’s difficult to work out which way the wind is going.”

The Women’s Indian Open is being played from 4 to 6 December. The purse this week is approximately  $400,000.
Victorian Alison Whitaker and New Zealand’s Cathryn Bristow are the only other two ALPG members in field this week.
Players who are likely to be in contention come Sunday includes Spain’s Carlota Ciganda, France’s Gwladys Nocera and the England pair of Florentyna Parker and Holly Clyburn.
