The scholarship has awarded a total of $14,000 in funds for 2019 – the largest amount given away to date. Helping to further the golfing careers of young New Zealand women, the scholarship aims to create opportunities to allow golfers to attend qualifying school, play on tour or develop their coaching career.

“The NZPWG has done a tremendous job with encouraging professional women golfers to make the next step in their individual golfing endeavours. I’d like to thank the NZPWG Board and KFC for their continued support of women’s golf along with my own support team. My efforts reflect those who have helped me along the way, big or small, I am truly grateful,” she says.

Phillis will be looking to add to her World Long Drive victories this year and this scholarship will support her development both on and off the range this year,” commented NZPWG Board Member, Kristin Farrell.
