NSW pair Ravnjak and Kemp share spoils at Aoyuan International Moss Vale Pro-am
Date: 5th March 2019

It was an all blue occasion today at Moss Vale Golf Club as Wollongong's Tahnia Ravnjak and Forster's Sarah Kemp shared victory at the Aoyuan International Moss Vale Pro-am in the NSW Southern Highlands, after both shot superb 5 under par rounds of 68.

For Ravnjak, who is in just her second year as a professional after having spent four years in the USA completing a college degree at Campbell Unversity in North Carolina, the victory was made even sweeter coming so close to her home town of Wollongong south of Sydney.

25-year-old Ravnjak had her best finish on the ALPG Tour two weeks ago at the Pacific Bay Resort Australian Ladies Classic Bonville where she finished in a tie for 25th, felt that the fact that the women professionals had played the course from the men's blue tee markers had helped her focus today.

For Kemp, who has had a superb start to 2019 including a second place finish at the ISPS Handa Vic Open, it was her twelfth ALPG pro-am victory and a special one having competed at the ALPG Moss Vale pro-am on many occasions prior, her first back in 2005.

The 33-year-old is having her best ever season on the ALPG Tour and currently has a comfortable lead on the 2019 ALPG Order of Merit with more than $143,000 in earnings.

Indian professional Diksha Dagar was alone in third place after shooting a 3 under par 70. The 18-year-old left-handed professional was born with a severe hearing problem and was a silver medalist at the World Deaflympics in 2017. Dagar has long been touted as a potential superstar of the women's game, she was the leading female amateur player in India at the tender age of 15 back in 2015 and represented India at the 2018 Asian Games.

In a tie for fourth place were Thai Onkanok Soisuwan, Belgian Manon De Roey and Australians Georgia Clarke and Celina Yuan.

The ALPG Tour moves down to Queanbeyan Golf Club for the Worrell's NSW Women's Open which will start on Thursday. Entry is free and spectators are welcome to attend.
