ALPG Patron, and Australian Olympic Legend, Dawn Fraser will assist us in celebrating GOLF MONTH on Monday 26 October at Castle Hill Country Golf Club (CHCGC), in Sydney’s northwest .
As part of Golf Australia’s initiative, “GOLF MONTH” CHCGC will play host to a Bing Lee/Delonghi ALPG National Women’s Clinic.
ALPG Teaching Professionals Jenny Sevil, Lee Harrington, Virginia Irwin, Anne Rollo, Jo Bannerman and Carlie Hoysted will join ALPG stars of Australian golf Rachel Hetherington and Shani Waugh as the coaches on the day, which will ensure a great learning experience in a fun and relaxed environment.
The day at CHGC is sure to be the pinnacle of our 2015 National Women’s Clinics, it will include breakfast, lunch, golf followed by a cocktail function. Tuition includes morning instructional sessions held on the driving range, putting green and short game areas. In the afternoon all ladies and coaches will head onto the course, where they will receive advice on situational strategy and course management.
As part of the ALPG’s commitment to GOLF MONTH and women’s golf, our ALPG coaches will also be running a Beginner Ladies Clinic in the afternoon for those who wish to try golf in a fun learning environment. It will consist of a 75 minute session, following which the ladies will join the full day clinic attendees for the Cocktail Reception, where Olympic legend Dawn Fraser will be the guest speaker.
Our Next Generation of Junior girls will not be left out on this big day either. We will be holding a Free Junior Girls Clinic in the afternoon facilitated by several of our ALPG coaches which will be
open to juniors from 5 to 18 years of age. It is a great chance for junior girls to meet Rachel and Shani as well as have a chat with Dawn.
Thanks to our friends at the Jack Newton Junior Golf Foundation, each junior attendee aged 5—12 years will also receive a FREE MyGolf membership. The all-inclusive day will finish with a sausage sizzle and drink.

So far in 2015 ALPG has held eight National Women’s Clinics all across the country with resounding success. We started in April at Bunbury GC in WA, and have since held clinics in the Sydney region at Bonnie Doon GC, Cumberland GC, Manly GC, Windsor CGC, in Brisbane at Victoria Park GC, in Melbourne at Victoria GC and in Adelaide at Royal Adelaide with the final Clinic for 2015 scheduled for December 1st at Blackwood GC in Adelaide.
We have had fantastic feedback from both the participants and the host clubs so far, with the plan to increase both the clinic numbers and reach in 2016.
