7 Australians and 2 New Zealanders Advance to Final Stage of LET Qualifying School

The final round of LET Pre-Qualifying stage concluded with 7 Australians and 2 New Zealanders moving through to the final stage of qualifying on December 13, to be played at the same golf course at Amelkis Golf Club & Al Maaden Golf Resort, Marrakeck, Morocco.

The pre-qualifying stage has been broken down into two fields, A and B, from which the top 45 and ties after four rounds (+6) will progress to the final stage.

After the final round of the four round stage, Field A is led by England’s amateur Emily Taylor. 4 Australians and 1 New Zealander made the cut in this field. They are Whitney Hillier (T16), Emily Perry (T20), Sarah King (T24), Sunny Park (T37) and Corie Hou (T41).

Rebecca Green and Belinda Diamond (a) missed the cut in 64th and tied 66th respectively.

In field B, Maha Haddioui shot a brilliant final round of 68 to lead the field. The three Australians and 1 New Zealander in this field all made through to the final stage. Nikki Campbell leads the way with tied 7th position, Cathryn Bristow on 13th position, Ashlee Dewhurst on tied 16th and Katelyn Must on tied 31st.

At the Final Stage of qualifying, 90 holes of play are scheduled and approximately 60 players exempt to the final stage will join approximately 90 qualifiers from the first stage. The total field of 150 players approx. will play over both the Al Maaden and Amelkis Courses, while the final round will be played on the Al Maaden Course.

Australians Bree Elliott and Tamara Johns will be joining the field in the final stage, based on their exemption status.

There will be a cut to the leading 60 players and ties after 72 holes and those players who fail to make the 72 hole cut will be eligible for Membership in Category 12a.

Finally, after the final round the top 30 players and ties will be eligible for Membership in Category 8a and will be ranked in final score order; if necessary a play-off will take place to establish 1st position. And those players who have made the cut and finish in positions 31 and below will be ranked according to score and be eligible for Membership in Category 9b.
